It was all treats and no tricks at Burren Court as students from Trinity Comprehensive School joined the Golden Age Community for a Halloween celebration to remember!
As part of their Localise Youth Volunteering project, the TY students helped organise a fun-filled morning packed with costumes, prizes, and live music. The Golden Age community truly got into the spirit of the season; there were witches’ hats, pumpkin smiles, and plenty of dancing to classic tunes.

Laughter and conversation filled the room as generations came together to share stories, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate community spirit in true Halloween style.
A big thank you to the teachers and staff that supported this project and a huge well done to the Trinity Comp students and everyone at Burren Court for creating such a heartwarming (and slightly spooky!) day.
Through volunteering, the students are not just giving their time, they’re gaining valuable skills and developing empathy, understanding, and inclusion. Connecting with the Golden Age Community allows young people to see the world through another generation’s eyes, building respect and compassion that reach far beyond the classroom. Events like this remind us that when generations come together, everyone learns, grows, and belongs.
