This festive season, Hospital Street, the bustling artery connecting corridors, buildings, and units at the Mater Hospital, was officially renamed “Jolly Street” thanks to the unstoppable festive energy of the 6th class pupils from St. Catherine’s Senior Girls National School.

Decked out in twinkling costumes, festive hats, and enough tinsel to make a Christmas tree jealous, these young elves set out on a mission: spread joy, laughter, and a little musical mischief to patients and staff alike. Armed with gifts, carols, and smiles that could rival Santa himself, they brought the magic of the season straight into the hospital corridors.

From singing “Deck the Halls” in perfect (and adorably off-key) harmony to giggling their way through every ward, the girls turned Hospital Street into a festive wonderland. Patients and staff were treated to presents, songs, and the infectious energy of 6th class enthusiasm, while staff couldn’t help but tap their toes, smile, and maybe even sneak a candy or two.

The students didn’t just bring gifts, they delivered heartwarming moments, bursts of laughter, and a reminder that the spirit of Christmas thrives in the smallest acts of kindness. Who knew that a hospital corridor could become the scene of such festive frolics?

Localise extends a huge thank-you to the pupils and staff of St. Catherine’s for their generosity, creativity, and downright holiday cheer. You’ve shown that the magic of Christmas isn’t just about gifts, it’s about connection, laughter, and the joy of giving.

Hospital Street may return to its usual rhythm after the holidays, but thanks to these amazing 6th class pupils, it’s safe to say the echoes of carols, laughter, and jingling bells will be ringing in everyone’s hearts long after the last gift is unwrapped.
