DCU Innovation Campus Spreads Christmas Cheer with Gifts and Smiles for Respond Families

This Christmas, the DCU Innovation Campus came alive with festive cheer as staff from businesses across the campus joined together to make the season a little brighter for families supported by Respond Services. With a beautifully decorated Christmas tree as the centrepiece, volunteers picked tags featuring the first names and ages of children and carefully chose gifts to bring joy, laughter, and holiday magic to their recipients.

The generosity of everyone involved was truly heartwarming. Each gift was more than just a present, it was a message of care, hope, and community spirit. Localise is immensely grateful to all who took part, and we celebrate their thoughtfulness, kindness, and commitment to giving back.

“As always, the generosity shown by everyone at DCU Innovation Campus is inspiring,” said Derek Cleary, Director of Localise. “It’s wonderful to see the different companies coming together, creating an uplifting mood across the campus. I look forward to this initiative every year, it really captures the spirit of community and giving.”

Respond has been supporting communities across Ireland for over 40 years. They provide person-centred services to help people achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Across the 26 counties, Respond supports 17,008 tenants in 7,761 properties, alongside offering emergency accommodation, early childhood education, day care for older people, family support, and refugee resettlement services. The DCU Innovation Campus initiative is a shining example of how community spirit and partnership can bring joy to families who rely on these vital services.

By taking part in this festive gesture, the DCU Innovation Campus team helped spread cheer, strengthen community bonds, and embody the true spirit of Christmas. Their generosity shows that when we give with heart and intention, the holiday season becomes brighter, happier, and more magical for everyone.
