Localise Programme
Localise is an easy to use and effective Community Service Learning programme that involves young people, aged 13+ in community work. It gives young participants an opportunity to analyse the needs of their community, plan action projects to meet those needs, carry out the work, and evaluate the results of their work, culminating with a graduation ceremony where all participants receive a certificate in Community Learning Service. The programme is initially run over ten weeks and acts as a catalyst for further community work as most groups decide to continue working after the initial stage. Within schools and colleges it becomes an essential part of their annual curriculum as it delivers Community Service Learning in every module.
